I will be opening the MacDonald Park Observation area for the - Lunar Eclipse - January 20 06:30 PM PST When Attending - Use the directions to get here. Watch for the cones to direct you to the observation area.
- Please enter and park either at the observation area gate or outside the main gate - NOT IN THE MAIN PARKING AREA.
- There are no washroom facilities at this time of year.
- Dress warmly the evening will be close to zero temperature.
- Bring a chair and binoculars.
- All ages welcome - children must be under an adult's supervision
- Again - DRESS WARM!
- The event will end promptly at 11:00 p.m. and the gates will be closed. Cars must be out before that time or else you will be locked in the park till the morning

So here was some 20+ people who came to he park last night. Most of them either stayed at the picnic benches or by the gate.
Down at the observing area area under the full moon, it was like a fairy land. The sky was clear and seeing was excellent. The full moon itself was spectacular as it rose above the mountains in the east. You could really tell that this was a close approach to the earth. Also, it was relatively warm during the evening.
Hope we to see more people out for the new moon observation night.
