Hey Everyone:
Well, after renting a class c motor home two years, renting tent trailers for 2 years, doing the motel thing one year, and sleeping in my car once, I have finally bought a used tent trailer for my MSQ excursions! It's a 1994 Skamper. It ain't gonna be the prettiest RV on the field this year at Merritt, but it seems solid for its age and should do nicely for a few years. I am stoked I have my own home On wheel so. Job one this week is to clean up the new unit, and see what works and try to fix what doesn't! Ha!
I also want to go to the Oregon Star Party next summer and hopefully this unit will get me there. Anyone else planning to go? I heard some murmurs at last year's MSQ that perhaps a few club members might get together to go for the eclipse. It would be fun to caravan with a group of FVAS members and take it all in. I'm spending this week cleaning up the new unit. Well that's it... Just had to share. See some of you in Merritt next week.
Terry

Good for you! Now you can get the sleep you need. And it's yours. Make sure to check out the wheel bearings. M

Preregister for the 2017 OSP as early as you can. That's the eclipse weekend I believe and they're on the edge of the path. Happy trailering.

Yup, wheel bearings for sure. The previous owner says the wheel bearings were done this year but I will get 'me checked anyways. Yes it is indeed mine... all paid for and insured! I looked at about half a dozen units that were just horrible. I was starting to think that finding an acceptable unit at my budget and in time for MSQ was impossible, but finally found two good ones on Craigslist on the same day at the same price, so I bought the larger one!😎

Good for you Terry. Must be the end of the season for some.
I finally got a new axle for my little Boler --- no more 'one-hung-low'. New springs, brakes and bearings -- and a great load off my mind.
