Has anyone driven the Coq lately? Wondering if there's snow in the forest at the Shylock level just a few km past the Carolyn Mine turnoff.
Right now I'm looking at Sunday night observing. (I'm truckless Saturday night) Plus the jet stream looks really good that far east for Sunday night. (if it truly gets clear)

Alas, I have a Family event this evening -- grand kids singing, etc. So I'll miss this great night out.
Happy observing.

Finally bagged some serious photons last night. since Perseus was up in Dobson's Hole i decided to go after the Per. A group. I got 11 galaxies filled in on my list. Also i did the Jones 1, Ghost of Jupiter, 891 parade with about another dozen in the area. Try as i did, i could not nail all of 7331/Stephan's quintet, the sky went soft an hour before moon rise. SQM reading of 21.3 and -2 C, mild breeze. Was fun, but i really could use some company,my dog can't read a star chart! MMc

Thanks for the report Mark.
I really should go back to the Perseus A galaxy cluster again. I first saw them at Monck Park on Nicola Lake at one of the first MSQ's (good memories). Jones 1 is on the RASC challenge list -- good for you. I find a photograph helps with the companions of 7331 and Stephan's is often tough.
I'll try harder getting out next time. The kids sang and acted well. Good company there as well.
