Currently Swede and I are planning on heading out to the gray zone Thursday night. Craig, email me if you'd like a ride. I hope to head out by 8:00ish and we'll probably stay observing til 02:30 or 03:00 then pack up (45 min for me) then drive home. Warm clothes are a definite asset. However, a warning: looking thru our big scopes might not be fair to your scope.
Will confirm our full intentions on this thread by 6:00 PM Thursday.
Darrell.

That went well. Sky Quality Meter: 21.50 +10°C. Minor Dew. Grand seeing again. Transparency was better at the beginning then occasional high cloud snuck through. Central star in Ring, three nice arms on NGC 6946 in Cepheus, all five of Stephan's Quintette, good dust lane in NGC 891, Saturn Neb occasionally had second ansae.
Craig's 60mm refractor performed very well. Split the Double Double! Good dark edge of dust lane in Andromeda Galaxy. Good show of M 110. M 11, M 34, Double Cluster, Albireo, Mirach, all skillfully found with a camera tripod. (mount is in shop) Good Plossls with a dark sky and good seeing really makes a difference. Well done.
DSD.

I was hoping to get out some time this weekend, but that is not likely. I will head up to Shylock this week some time. If anyone else is interested post what day works best, as my schedule is flexible. There is a 2-6% chance of precipitation on Wednesday in the early AM, otherwise the forecast zero precip and clear all week.

Sorry, I thought I had this set to get emails when someone replied.
It looks like the cloud cover for the next day or so will be about the same as the last few days, mixed and up to 65%. Tomorrow doesn't work anymore for me (sorry), if you really want to get out on Saturday I will have to be late, I would be able to get to Shylock around eleven. Sunday to Monday looks really good on the forecast right now, and only 1% cloud cover too. I have no plans for after dinner. I know the BBQ is being hosted (in another thread) then, but I already confirmed plans before I found out the info on that. If the weather holds to the forecast then next week Thursday to Friday looks good. Friday night next week through the weekend does not work.
My phone number is in my account info, if you are logged in you can see it. My email is as well.
Also, the Moon will be very bright, its already over 83% visible. I know a lot of people don't want to bother when its like this, but I have not yet gotten bored with looking at it.... don't think I will for some time.
In just over two weeks (the 25th) will be a new moon. If there is interest to make plans tentative with the weather for close to then, that would be great.

Tomorrow evening still works for me. I can be at Shylock from about 9:30 to 10:00. My Dad or/and some other family members might want to come along. I will find out tomorrow in the late afternoon.

I am going to have to cancel tonight. I only got about two hours of sleep, and at this point its not worth trying to get any more. I dont drive unless I have had more then four, let alone go somewhere like Shylock. I am very sorry, it happens a handful of times a month on average where I have to cancel plans because of this.
Does Tuesday night work for you instead? And for anyone else? I will make a new thread late today in this regard. It is supposed to be the peak night for the meteorites, and the Moon will not be quite so bright. We should be able to see at least a few star clusters then as well. During the last Super Moon, on the day of I was able to make out M11 (Wild Duck Cluster).
If you do get out tonight somewhere have a good time.

It looks like the weather for tonight will not work out. We will have to try again closer to the New Moon.
