New Club Trailer... was going for $2000 dollars, I was able to get it for $1800 dollars, Insurance and taxes came to $432. Total 2,232. With the selling of the old trailer for around $800 dollars and if we exclude the taxes and insurance cost, the trailer was in essence purchased for $1000 dollars. It's doesn't wobble, it doesn't sway, and an 80 year old man picked it up moved it around and put it on the hitch without any effort really. All other trailers I've looked at new or used have been over 3000 to 4000 dollars. And this trailer can be towed by almost any vehicle. A great score if you ask me. The interior is in great shape, the exterior is in excellent shape. No dents no damages whatsoever that i can see... I towed it over the Mission bridge in the slow lane where all the divets are and it didn't bounce left or right it just stayed right behind me with the odd bounce up and down but that's to be expected. The think I like the best about this trailer is that it has a ramp! And a nice wide one at that. No more issues of working about the sides of the scope box and there's lots of room to get around both sides of the scope to tie it down. Which we'll have to add some tie down brackets, I'll ask Mark to have a look at that when he can. I think this is great addition to the club! Your thoughts? Attachments:

OK first off, it has curved fenders. Where do you set your beer/eyepieces down? Wow,look at those sides, great for a big club decal! And.. Black,a nice warming shack, for those cold Merritt nights. Hint.. needs power for coffee urn... Does it have a spare? What kind of plug? flat four prong? Lets seal up the wood. From the price i,d say GREAT DEAL!!! Well done Paul.... YDM. yo da man MMc

Hey Paul:
Looks like a nice score. Seems like the trailer has been an issue for awhile... nice to finally get that squared away.
I hope to meet up with the club and do some observing late summer and fall. I am ready to get back into it. You may remember that I had my field box and eyepieces stolen from my garage awihile back... just ordered the final 2 pieces of gear I needed to get back and running. I am eager to get under the stars again. Unfortunately, Merritt is probably not doable for me this year. Maybe I will be able to squeeze in one night if my schedule co-operates, (fingers crossed!). I know my brother Tom is looking forward to getting back into it too. Hey BTW haven't had a chance to ask you how the Meade is working for you? You got an SCT right?

Yeah I did but I can't do much with it at the moment because of my shoulder after the car accident in Yellowstone last year. (Septemeber) But you can see somewhat set up in the interview I did today for CTV news. CTV News Northern lights. (Click here) Enjoy!!! Quite a few of my pics were shown as well...nice!

And thanks Mark. I should haul it over to your place and let you have a look at what we can do with it. Currently it has the small prong plug in. I tend to like the Round 7 point plug. I think that would work much better and stay cleaner.
Seeing as that the back door rolls down into a ramp I think you'll plenty of room to toss in a full cooler of beer in there. Not that I drink alot of beer but the option is there! HAHAHAAA...
It doesn't have a spare...but thats something we can get easily I think from Canadian Tire or someone like that. You got any sealer?? And or do you know anyone who can insulate it? The ply on the sides is quite thin 1/4 inch I think.
Greg dropped of some stuff for the trailer as well..some tie downs and some tied down anchors. We should slide the 20 in there and then place those anchors down in the right spots. You got time I'm off work until Friday...
