For the first time in 35 years, a blue moon will occur during a total lunar eclipse on Jan. 31, an event some have taken to calling a “super blue blood moon.”
A super moon because of the moons' close proximity to the earth, and a blue moon moon is the second full moon in a month, and the lunar eclipse will make it a blood moon.
Totality will begin around 4:51 a.m. PST, with the period of totality expected to last roughly 1 hour and 16 minutes.
Hopefully we we will have clear skies.
