This event, hosted by Mission Heritage Association, is a family fun time beginning with a park trivia contest. At 9:00pm, FVAS will present an astronomy talk in the picnic shelter, after which members' telescopes will be available for celestial viewing. Four of the five naked-eye planets will be visible after sunset, along with a skinny moon. Everyone is invited to come out and see the construction progress of the Rotary Observatory and participate in the trivia contest (all clues relate to Fraser River Heritage Park, and answers can be found in the park).
Don't forget the Moon Walk on Friday May 30, 2014 at Fraser River Heritage Park in Mission from 8:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m.
Come out to this fun event and check out the construction progress of the Rotary Observatory in the park.
We need volunteers with telescopes for public viewing, and if anyone has a slide show, audio/video presentation or a talk that they would be willing to share, please PM me or post on this thread. Thanx
